Dust Monitoring
Dust monitoring is conducted to measure and assess the concentration of certain particles within dust in the environment. We provide qualified specialists to conduct dust monitoring as it should only be done by a competent person with the appropriate equipment to accurately:

Asbestos Air Monitoring
Asbestos air monitoring is the sampling for airborne asbestos fibres, it helps to identify exposure levels and any necessary control measures. As per the ‘Safe Work Australia Code of Practice for the safe Removal of Asbestos’, air monitoring should be performed whenever Asbestos containing materials are being removed to ensure that control measures are effective.
Why Have Air Monitoring?
An estimated 1.3 million employees are exposed to asbestos in either construction or general industry environments. Exposure to asbestos can cause asbestosis, mesothelioma, and lung, oesophagus, stomach, colon, and rectum cancer.
Under the current Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulation there is a duty on employers to identify any Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) before commencing demolition, building maintenance or removal works, if there are any doubts whether asbestos is present then the employer must follow the current legislative steps to identify the presence of asbestos.
Asbestos control monitoring determines the effectiveness of control measures when work is either being done on asbestos containing material or has been completed. Using static or positional air monitors as fixed locations, the levels of airborne asbestos fibres are measured, revealing whether the levels have declined or dissipated.
